PGNiG eyes new gas import strategy

Polish state-controlled energy company PGNiG plans to change its natural gas import strategy when its long-term contract with Russian state-controlled Gazprom expires in 2022. PGNiG will consider increasing pipeline imports from Norway, as well as taking more LNG, to diversify its import routes after 2022, chief executive Piotr Wozniak says. The company will present its import plans as part of the new strategy outline, which will be unveiled in about six months.
