OMV eyes South Stream return

Austria’s OMV looks poised to rejoin the Gazprom-led South Stream pipeline project, as the crisis in Ukraine, a key transit state for Russian gas, continues. Gazprom chief executive Alexei Miller and OMV counterpart Gerhard Roiss signed an initial deal to run South Stream to Austria’s Baumgarten gas hub. Gazprom says construction consent could be granted by the end of next year.
