East of Suez,its all about volume not price in India.There has been a lot of discussion about what MoUs Indian buyers have agreed with Chinese and Saudi suppliers.Argus FMB conservatively estimates 0.6-1.2m t DAP.It is important to stress that not one tonne has been priced,although given the current relative strength of the Indian Rupee,the ratification of a rollover of the Indian DAP NBS and farmer prices,most observers expect Indian buyers to flush out Q2 availability from China and Saudi Arabia in a$450-460/t cfr spread.With a few exceptions,MoUs do not ordinarily go to plan.So these agreements remain on paper currently.
