Supported mainly by rising demand from Japan, Thailand's chicken exports in 2014 is forecast to achieve a growth of 13% to reach 650,000 tonnes, compared with anincrease of around 10% in 2013 with a total of around 530,000 tonnes.Trissadee Chaosuancharoen, Director-General of the Department of Livestock Development (DLD) told Asian Poultry Magazine that with this growth in exports, Thailand will become the world's third largest chicken exporter after Brazil and the US.
