Pertamina is reported to be in process of appointing Wood Mackenzie to consult in the choice of partners to help develop the giant Natuna D-Alpha gas field,located in the South China Sea about 1100km north of Jakarta and 200km east of the West Natuna fields,which pipe gas to Singapore.Pertamina,as operator of Natuna D-Alpha,requires substantial technical and financial assistance.Development costs are estimated at 40 billion.
