Oil production has begun from the first p0hase of Unocal Makassar's West Seno project,offshore East Kalimantan,the first deepwater oil and gas project in Indonesia.Current p9roduction from West Seno is 14,000b/d of oil and 18mmcf/d of gas from the first four wells.A fifth well is expected to bring oil output to over 17,000b/d.Gross production from phase one is expected to reach 35,000-40,000b/d by the end of the year as additional wells are completed,with production expected to climb in 2004 as development drilling continues.
