Salamander Energy has plugged and abandoned the Bang Nouan-1 exploration well in the Savannakhet PSC, Lao PDR as no significant flow of hydrocarbons was observed from a 45m interval drill stem test, at a measured depth of around 2000m, which also did not respond to an injectivity test to assess fracture potential.
