Capital expenditures of approximately US6 billion have been approved by ConocoPhillips for 2004,maintaining a budget essentially equivalent to 2003.The company will allocate about 78%,or US4.7 billion,of its 2004 capital budget to exploration and production,with refining and marketing receiving about 19% and the remainder going to emerging businesses and corporate needs.
