The Chengdu municipal government is revising a feasibility study on its proposed cracker complex in Chengdu,Sichuan,China,a government official told ACN.The government was mulling an 800 000 tonne/year cracker instead of a 600 000 tonne/year facility,the official said.He added that local experts had been engaged to plan the type of derivatives to be produced downstream of the cracker project.The proposed complex would be in a new chemical zone that has not been built yet.
