German consumers get by on lower stocks

Households in Germany,Europe's largest heating oil market,are limiting purchases because of mild weather and high prices.Residential stocks have fallen to their lowest January levels in over 20 years.German heating oil sales were 360,000 b/d last year,34pc lower than in 2006,and nearly a fifth of total EU demand.
