Aktau-Batumi crude supplies to fall

Exporters will reduce crude supplies from the Kazakh Cas- pian port of Aktau to the Georgian Black Sea ports of Batumi and Kulevi in May following a rise in costs. Kazakh shipments may fall to just 25,000t from 250,000- 340,000 t/month in the first quarter. In the short term, Azeri and Georgian terminals will not be able to find alternative crude to offset the fall in deliveries, market participants say.
