China cuts output target by 400,000 b/d

China has cut its oil output target by 400,000 b/d, or almost 10pc, for this year, allowing upstream firms scope to scale back production in response to lower prices. The revised target is 4mn b/d, down from 4.4mn b/d previously and 295,000 b/d below actual production last year.
