Rosneft reshuffle

Trading companies are taking more crude from Russian firm Rosneft this month, at the expense of refiners and majors. Rosneft will export 1.14mn b/d from Russian ports this month, a 225,000 b/d increase on March and the highest in a year, as refinery maintenance frees up more crude for export. Trading firm Trafigura has become the main buyer of Rosneft crude for the first time this month (see table, left). Rosneft reduced crude sales to winners of its tender for April-September supplies to supply Trafigura, which has a new pre-financing agreement with the Russian firm.
