Jacobs Engineering Wins its First Contract Under Saudi Aramco's GES + Program

Saudi Aramco has awarded a contract to Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. for the FEED (front-end engineering and design) work for the Ras Tanura refinery clean fuels and aromatics project. The U.S. company points out that this is the first contract it has won within the framework of Saudi Aramco's General Engineering Service Plus (GES +) initiative. Among other things, the project calls for modifications to be made to the Ras Tanura refinery to bring it into line with future environmental regulations. The plant has a capacity of 550,000 barrels/day and includes a 305,000-b/d natural gas liquids processing train and a 960,000-b/d crude stabilization unit.
