Sonatrach and ETAP Sell Part of Their Interests in Two Tracts to Their Joint Subsidiary Numhyd

Numhyd,a 50:50% joint venture between Sonatrach and the Entreprise Tunisienne dActivites Petrolieres(ETAP)that was set up in April 2003,has remained relatively discreet up to now,although it is engaged in exploration in both countries.The parent companies,which are probably keen to see their joint subsidiary grow in stature and become more visible,announced at the end of April that they had signed,or were on the point of signing,several agreements that will enable Numhyd to expand its licensed acreage.
