GlobalSantaFe Contracted to Supply Four Jackup Drilling Rigs to Saudi Aramco

Saudi Aramco has awarded a contract to GlobalSanteFe for the supply of four jackup drilling rigs for four-year periods starting in the first half of 2007.The four rigs-GSF Main Pass I,GSF Main Pass IV,GSF High Island I and GSF High Island II-are due to be transferred in pairs in the fourth quarter of 2006 from the Gulf of Mexico to a Middle East shipyard,where they are due to undergo upgrades that are expected to take 60 days.The rigs will then be moved to their drilling locations offshore Saudi Arabia,where they are due to start operating in March or April 2007.
