Chevron Awards Technip an 800-Million Development Contract for the Agbami Field

In awarding a contract worth about 800 million to Technip for the development of the offshore Agbami field in July,Chevron Corporation launched the start of work on one of the largest deepwater development projects in the Gulf of Guinea.The development of Agbami is being undertaken by a subsidiary of Chevron,Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited,whose associates are Texaco Nigeria Outer Shelf Inc.,another subsidiary of Chevron,Petrobras,Statoil Nigeria Limited,Famfa Oil Limited and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC).
