摘要

The paper presents a Comparison of 2-D and 3-D solutions for magnetic field in the problem of determination of electromechanical parameters of a brushless disc-type DC motor with permanent magnets. The calculations are carried out using the commercial OPERA(2D) and OPERA(3D) software packages. The torque is determined from the Maxwell's stress tensor. Calculated values of the torque and back EMF from 2-D and 3-D analyses are compared with test results obtained from the physical model of the motor. The comparison indicates that it is the 3-D model which enables to calculate the electromechanical parameters of the brushless disc-type motor with accuracy sufficient for technical demands.
