Following a Fall in its Egyptian Production, Petroceltic Has Reduced its Target for 2013 to 24,500-25,500 BOE/D

In a report on its activities in the first half of 2013, Dublin-based Petroceltic International plc indicates that, although there has not been any major unrest in the main regions where it operates, its Egyptian production fell to a lower-than-expected level during the period for several different reasons. As a result, the company has revised down its worldwide production target for 2013 to 24,500-25,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day, whereas at the beginning of the year it was expecting its upstream assets in North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea region to yield a total of 25,000-27,000 boe/d this year (AOG, 1 Feb., 2013). Petroceltic's production is currently running at around 26,000 boe/d.
