Taqa Is Holding Exclusive Negotiations with Shell and Esso for the Acquisition of Upstream Assets in the North Sea

Through its subsidiary Taqa Bratani Limited, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) has initiated exclusive negotiations with Shell UK Limited and Esso Exploration and Production (UK) Ltd., respectively subsidiaries of Royal Dutch Shell and ExxonMobil, for the acquisition of their interests in several fields located in the northern part of the North Sea. Taqa points out that any agreement resulting from these discussions will have to have been subject to due diligence and be the outcome of negotiations for a sales and purchase agreement with the two companies.
