The seat (1) has isofixlatch arms (6, 7) with mounting brackets (8, 9) fixedly attached in a motor car. Holding members are designed as sliding guide elements (13, 14) in which a U-base part (12) is displaceably supported relative to a seat shell part (2) or an integrated seat frame, so that the seat shell part is adjustable in a vehicle transverse direction when connected with a vehicle-sided fixed work area (3). A relative position between the work area and the seat shell part is lockable with a locking device (22).
