When bids were opened in public in Tripoli on 20 December,seven of the 14 tracts offered in Libya's third international exploration bid round were assigned immediately and the corresponding contracts should be signed in january.In itself,the outcome is quite good,but compared with the spectacular success of the country's first two bid rounds,this one is bound to look a little disappointing.
