Dana Gas Signs an Agreement with Emarat for the Construction of a Gasline to Link Sajaa to Hamriyah

Through its subsidiary United Gas Transmissions Company (UGTC),Dana Gas has signed a 25-year agreement with Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) for the construction,ownership and operation of a common-user gasline that will link the Sharjah gas hub at Safaa to the Hamriyah free zone.The contract is worth Dh 670 million (us182.6 million) and calls for the laying of a pipeline with a capacity of 1 billion cu ft/day of gas,which is due to be operational by the end of 2006.Dana Gas and Emarat each have a 50% stake in the project.
