BP Was Not Invited to Participate in the Bidding for the Onshore Concession of Adco

At a ceremony to inaugurate the Habshan-Fujairah pipeline on 15 July (see page 18), the Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Mr. Abdulla Nasser al-Suwaidi, confirmed that the British company BP had not been invited to bid for the onshore concession for Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (Adco), which is up for renewal. "They did not receive an invitation. They were not on the list," said Mr. al-Suwaidi.
