Egypt Has Resumed Gas Deliveries to Jordan and Israel

Within the space of a few days, from 20 to 25 October, Egypt, Jordan and Israel announced the resumption of Egyptian natural gas exports to these last two countries, albeit at reduced volumes. The Jordanian Ministry of Energy firstly indicated that Egypt had resumed the pumping of gas to the country on 14 October. Quoted by the Jordan Times on 20 October, the Ministry added that the country was receiving 100 million cubic feet/day,of gas, which was well below the volume of 240 million cu ft/day specified in the 2004 agreement. This agreement was revised in August this year, but it has not yet been ratified by the two governments.
