Agreement on the Maritime Border Between the Two Countries Could Revive the Project for a GCC Gasline Network

Saudi Arabia and Qatar have agreed to complete the process of demarcating their mutual maritime border and to create a Joint Coordination Council to deal with all issues concerning security, trade and political relations. The Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported that the Council would be chaired by the countries' respective Crown Princes, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani for Qatar and Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz for Saudi Arabia.
