Bowie grows exports

Bowie Resources is poised to become a leading producer of western bituminous coal with its purchase of Arch Coal's three Utah mines and plans to increase terminal capacity. The Colorado producer had signaled last year that it aimed to step up its exports and now has secured the financial backing with partners and cooperation from Union Pacific (UP) to make good on those plans.
