Suez Energy International and Mitsui Selected for the Ras Laffan C Independent Water and Power Project

Suez Energy International announced on 25 March that the consortium it had formed with Mitsui and Co. had been selected as the "preferred bidder" for the Ras Laffan C (RAP C) independent water and power project (IWPP). The consortium will hold a 40% interest (20% for each partner) in a new venture, Ras Girtas Power Company, in which the other 60% of the capital will be divided between Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC - 45%) and Qatar Petroleum (QP - 15%).
