Oslo in June is almost, but not quite, the land of the midnight sun. The days are long and evenings are usually quite warm, making conditions ideal for one of the perennially popular attractions of Nor-Shipping. The price of just NKr830 per ticket for almost unlimited food and drink may be a factor, given the prices charged in some of the city's restaurants and bars, but the opportunity to socialise with more than 2,300 shipping colleagues in the fjord-side park setting of DNV's headquarters at H0vik is the attraction for most of the partygoers.
