Puppy problem behaviour

From what I have read online and through talking to other nurses in practice, I feel a lot of VNs don't feel confident when it comes to behaviour.People buy puppies every day. Unfortunately, not all of them are well thought through decisions. In my opinion, VNs are in a great position to advise a client not only what breed is best for them, but also to help curb some of the teething problems (literally).First-time dog owners should always make sure they do enough research on the breed they are getting and also puppy training classes in the local area. So many benefits to attending puppy classes exist, such as owner bonding, tricks, helpful skills (sit,lay down, leave) and the all-important socialisation. This is something VNs are perfectly placed to speak about; second vaccination clinics or new puppy check appointments make the ideal time to discuss training and common puppy problems the owner mightbe facing.In this article I will try to cover the basic principles of puppy training and common issues owners face.
