BV breakthroughs

A year of strong growth has allowed the French classification society Bureau Veritas to break through two significant barriers. Launching the 2009-2010 Marine Business Review, Bernard Anne, managing director of the society's Marine Division, revealed that the organisation ended 2009 with a fleet of 8,934 ships and since then has continued to add new vessels. BV now has more than 9,000 vessels and over 70M gt on its books.
