US wood products groups Tuesday asked a federal court to put their lawsuit against power plant CO2 regulations on hold to allow time for more talks with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The American Forest and Paper Association and the American Wood Council asked the DC Circuit Court of Appeals to put their lawsuit on hold while they await clarification from EPA about how the Clean Power Plan will treat biomass. The groups said they have already met with the agency to try to clarify the regulatory language.
