Belgian firm makes progress on biomass power plant

Belgian firm Belgian Eco Energy(Bee's)200MW dedicated biomass-fired power plant at the port of Ghent is expected to have building and environmental permits in place before the end of this year,business development manager Peter Beyers said. Bee will look to reach financial close on the?330mn ($412mn)project in the second quarter of next year,once subsidies are in place,and hopes to break ground shortly thereafter.
