FINANCIAL NEWS. Jan-Mar 2008. Daimler's revenue increased slightly from {EUR}23.37bn to {EUR}23.45bn in Q1-08. Adjusted for exchange-rate effects and changes in the scope of consolidation, revenue growth was 4%. Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) were {EUR}1,976m compared with {EUR}3,292m a year earlier. The decrease principally reflected a non-recurring gain of {EUR}1,563m in Q1-07 in connection with the transfer of EADS shares. In Q1-08 there were non-recurring gains of {EUR}449m in connection with the sale of properties at Potsdamer Platz and in {EUR}102m from the transfer of more EADS shares. These gains were mostly offset by non-recurring expenses of {EUR}491m in connection with Chrysler.
