US: ArvinMeritor sells replacement exhaust business

ARVINMERITOR has sold its North American light vehicle aftermarket (LVA) exhaust business to replacement exhaust systems and components manufacturer International Muffler Company (IMCO) for an undisclosed amount. "This transaction will further enhance ArvinMeritor's goal to strengthen our financial position and focus on our core operations," said Chip McClure, ArvinMeritor's chairman, chief executive officer and president. "This sale also provides the LVA exhaust group the opportunity to grow with IMCO."
