Conductive Agents Key to Increased LiB Capacity

With companies looking to increase LiB capacity, a series of new materials are coming to the fore to serve as conductive agents for the cathode materials used here.Increasing the amount of cathode active material used is an effective means of increasing LiB capacity. Yet with cathode materials made up in large part of an active material, a conductive agent and a binder, adding more conductive agent and binder results instead in less active material. And this stands to make for an obstacle when it comes to increasing capacity.
