Colleagues at the branch to which Huws Gray's first new FUSO Canter has been assigned were already familiar with the product and the attributes that make it ideally suited to operation in their beautiful part of the world. One of the UK's largest independent builders' merchants, Huws Gray, operates from more than 60 locations across the north-west and midlands. With its acquisition last year of the former Penrith Building Supplies, Huws Gray inherited a couple of Canters, a 7.5-tonner and a 3.5-tonner. Both had provided outstanding service, but after five years the larger of the two was showing signs of the tough life it had led.
