摘要

When Charles Ingrum graduated from the University of North Texas in 1994, with a degree in business computer information systems, he had "not a clue that I would ever be a florist," he says. *At the time I thought I would be a software developer."Today, however, he is widely regarded as one of the nation's top experts on floral-business management. He sits on the board of directors for the Society of American Florists and is on the advisory board for RTI, Tele-flora's top-of-the-line point-of-sale systemfor managing multi-location shops. The shop he purchased a little more than ten years ago, Dr. Delphinium Designs and Events, is now part of a larger floral and events business that employs 64 people and includes a separate 10,000-square-foot design center, plus a warehouse and greenhouse, in addition to the original, 2500-square foot retail store.
