摘要

In vitroantioxidant effects of extracts of Scutellaria lute-caerulea (Bornm. & Snit.), are reported.Ethanol, chloroform, ethylacetae and aqueous leaf extracts were tested against DPPH, beta-carotene/linoleic acid and FRAP for antioxidant activity. Ethanol extract was the most potentradical scavenger with IC50 value of 81.37 mu g/ml in DPPH assay and antioxidant activity of 67mmol Fe~(2+)/g sample in FRAP assay. Using the beta-carotene/linoleic acid assay, ethyl acetateextract was the most potent radical scavenger with the IC50 value was 829.7 mu g/ml. Resultssuggest that leaf extracts oif S. luteo-caerulea exhibit antioxidant properties In Vitro.
