摘要

Since the end of the Apollo mission the gear unit of the Harmonic Drive type has found several further applications as for example in robots and machine tools. After part I of this paper first gave a survey on function and fields of application of this low-play gear unit this part II now informs about the increase of the nominal torque by 30 percent and the extension of the transmission ratio into the low speed range from 50:1 to 30:1. The final part III is planned to deal with the subject lightweight design.
