As you read this the make-up of the next Government will have been chosen by the electorate and we can get on with the tricky task of assessing the economic impact of a new leadership on the highways industry. In many ways the general election has been a false debate with the economy the elephant in the room that politicians dare not mention for fear of spooking the voting public.
