Scrap price decline slows down in Ukraine in early May

In late April, purchase prices for scrap continued falling in Ukraine. In a month, A2 scrap has dropped in price by UAH 190/t because of rising material supplies and weak competition with Ukrainian exporters at ports. Even though in the first half of May steelmakers managed to force the quotations down, further decrease is unlikely.
