CIS pig iron exports virtually doubled in November because of additionaldeliveries of Russian material booked in September-October. Demandand business activity was reduced in November. In December, the situationin the global market for pig iron has significantly improved amida notable increase in scrap prices and favourable conditions in the finishedsteel markets. Consumer activity has risen in the USA, Italy andTurkey ahead of holidays.
