Prices to keep rising in August-September

In mid-July, the average market price for A3 scrap rose by 10% in the European part of Russia and in the Ural region.Scrap prices will keep going up in the home market in August and Sep? tember due to tough competition fuelled by growing demand (amid the start of winter restocking campaign). The largest consumers will be rais? ing purchase prices until they build up the bulk of stocks. Steelmakers will start gradually cutting bids from the second half of October.
