It is important to consider the following copyright issues before deciding to publish a book in electronic format. Artwork. Selecting the artwork you will use on the cover of your e-book will depend on various factors. One factor may be your budget—for example, whether you have enough money to commission specific artwork or purchase pre-existing artwork. In either case, you will have to determine whether you can afford and are able to negotiate an exclusive license to use that artwork. If these options are not available to you, consider obtaining non-exclusive use of the artwork.
