Angola UG operates one of the world's most modern LNG processing facilities in Soyo. The project is expected to facilitate continued offshore oil development while reducing gas flaring in Angola. DELAYS HAVE STRUCK Angola's new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Soyo - the single largest investment ever made in the country - at the country's northernmost coastline. The export-oriented plant had been scheduled to come on stream in March this year but has now been put back to mid-May. State oil company Sonangol has blamed the delay on the need for more testing of the plant. At nearly US$10bn, the total construction costs of the project are almost double the annual total GDP of Malawi.
