CAPITAL COSTS: MOLYBDENUM PIPELINE

This review profiles five of the largest molybdenum projects currently in the pipeline that are expected to be commissioned over the next three years. Together, they represent about 4.9 billion dollars in projected capital expenditures by five different companies. If they all reach capacity as scheduled, they will incrementally increase world molybdenum production capacity by almost 50,000 mt/y over the next few years, or about 25 percent of estimated 2006 production.
