Hira Power plans to raise ferro-alloy capacity

Indian manganese alloy producer Hira Power and Steel (HPSL) plans to add 16,000 t/yr ferro-alloy capacity at its plant at Urla Industrial Area in Raipur, Chhattisgarh state. It aims to increase ferro-alloy capacity to 64,000 t/yr from 48,000 t/yr without changing its plant and machinery. The expanded facility would be able to produce 16,000 t/ yr of manganese-alloy and 48,000 t/yr of low and mediumcarbon manganese alloys, with an option to produce 56,000 t/yr of pig iron if needed.
