Fitch Sees Rising Oil, Gas Capex

Global oil and gas capital expenditure will gradually increase in coming years but not hit pre- pandemic investment levels until 2025, Fitch Solutions said in a new report. Fitch said oil and gas capex is expected to increase by 12.8% to $477 billion this year — a significant recovery after the oil price rout triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic caused investment to fall by 25.9% to $423 billion in 2020.
