Whether in the front or the back, it will put a smile on your face. Farewell, then: the 911 is back with Porsche, perhaps even with a lucky new custodian by now (one careful owner and all that - promise...). It's too soon to say goodbye, though, because its short but oh-so-sweet time with us means there's a fair few tales still to tell before we give the car the full send-off on these pages in a couple of weeks' time. Aside from the trips to Castle Combe for our latest Britain's Best Driver's Car contest (18 November 2020) and to Silverstone for a twin test against the Chevrolet Corvette C8 (25 November) detailed in recent updates, most of the 911's journeys have been the kind of mundane here-to-there trips that make up the vast majority of motoring.
